Children In Need

Thank you so much for all who participated for this worthy cause, we’ve raised a grand total of £123.22 from Dress Down Friday, the Duck Race, Raffle & Bake sale. Thank you to everyone who donated goods and/or money enabling us to raise this fantastic sum. Every little helps and we look to add to this with our Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 15th December, so dig out your snazziest Christmas jumpers!

August 2016 – awarded 3 new cleaning contracts

We are delighted to have recently been awarded  3 new cleaning contracts:

Thanet District Council and the cleaning of their communal areas to council owned dwellings and associated properties – Commenced July 2016.

Cleeve Park Secondary School and their Building Cleaning Services – Commenced July 2016.

St Michaels Primary School and their Building Cleaning Service – Commenced August 2016.

Feb 2016 Innovation

Town & Country Cleaners took part in an exciting project that will provide reductions in carbon emissions and reduce road travel. We have installed skype conferencing equipment in an effort to communicate with customers and staff without the need to travel hundreds of miles. Working with Sustrans and Kent County Council we have been pleased to take part in this project. The benefits to the Company and the wider community in environmental terms are far reaching and as such the attached case study has been commissioned to explain the benefits.

Jan 2015

We have been awarded two new contracts that we are due to start in January 2015. One is for Amicus Horizon and one is for Caterham High School. Both contracts have been awarded on referral and our reputation as a 1st class cleaning contractor. We welcome any new transferring staff and look forward to working for a new client at Caterham High School and our existing client at Amicus Horizon. Town and Country Cleaners have been re-awarded the BSI Kitemark, ISO 9001 for a further 3 years. This provides our clients with the assurance that we are regularly subjected to rigorous, independent testing to ensure that we comply with stringent standards for safety, service performance and reliability. The Kitemark shows that Town and Country Cleaners is committed to maintaining the highest possible standards.

July 2015

Town and Country Cleaners celebrated 25 years of being a limited company on 19th March 2015 and Head Office staff presented the Directors a plaque and a bottle of bubbly each to commemorate the day. Kay, David & Elaine have been the driving force behind the Company since its inception. The Company has seen many changes in its 25 years of being a private limited company and a 1st class cleaning company. David Rushton, Director and former MD, first started the company in 1976 cleaning windows. We have currently 79 staff that has been with us for over 5 years. The average length of service for office staff is 8.6 years. We currently have 519 staff all together but in the last year this was split as 43% men and 57% women. The company has doubled in size over the last few years and continues to grow. Town & Country Cleaners have approx. 200 customers and 36% of our turnover is from housing contracts and 32% is from schools. We are accredited with being a 2 Ticks Employer, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 and were the first cleaning company in the South East to be accredited with the Investors in People Award.

Jan 2016 Award Winning Company

Town & Country Cleaners completed the last year with an award for going that extra mile.  William Miller, Community Development Director of AmicusHorizon said “At AmicusHorizon we are committed to providing employment and enterprise support for our residents. I’m delighted that many of our partner businesses share our ambitions to give something back to the communities in which we operate. Our contractor and suppliers continue to open up a world of opportunity for many of our young residents, providing much needed funding for community events, work experience and apprenticeships.”  This award was presented to us for going that extra mile and we are proud to have been selected and received such a prestigous award.
