Town & Country Cleaners Ltd has become a member of Motorvate. Motorvate is an Energy Saving Trust transport members programme offering advice and opportunities to help organisations reduce their carbon emissions and fleet costs. The latest project, PIFI 100, will look at the viability of electric vehicles and we are working with the Energy Saving Trust to undertake this study. We are committed to reducing carbon emissions and as such are working towards improving our vehicles and improving the fleet MPG, thereby using less fuel.

One of our Company Objectives is to reduce our environmental impact and so we took the initiative to talk to pupils at Clarendon House Grammar School where we clean. The aim of this was to engage a younger generation in the implications of environmental issues to raise awareness on decisions that we all make. This included wastage and the importance of recycling. David Thomas, our Training Manager, delivered these talks and was impressed by how engaged the pupils and staff were. This will be something that we hope to roll out on our other contracts in the near future.
