With 500+ students and 60+ teaching and associate staff now regularly on site each week, it’s time we celebrated some unsung heroes: our premises team and the cleaning staff at Town & Country.
Opening the school in any capacity just wouldn’t have been possible without a massive effort to reorganise classrooms, routes and common areas for social distancing, and introduce an intensive cleansing regime.
Homewood’s Town & Country team is constantly on hand to ensure that cleaning can take place throughout the day. This includes, wiping down door handles, handrails and other potential touch points, as well as cleansing toilets after each use. Cleaning staff in full protective suits sanitise all rooms before they are used again, using a fogging machine, which sprays all surfaces with a disinfectant mist.
The premises team is also back at full strength, working to prepare rooms for students who are attending before the summer break. They have also begun their regular summer maintenance program across the whole Trust with a long list of tasks to complete in July and August, alongside any new necessary preparations for re-opening in September.
A big ‘thank you’ to each and every one them.
